University Book Center

MPSSAA State Wrestling Tournament




Wrestling mats are in place for the Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association state wrestling tournament at University of Maryland's Cole Field House on Friday, Mar. 1. The four mats on the left are for the 1A/2A schools and the mats on the right are for the 3A/4A schools.

Good Neighborhood Baptist Church Service

The congregation of Good Neighborhood Baptist Church comes together to enjoy food and fellowship with other members of different churches after attending a special service at Good Neighborhood Sunday evening. 


Pastor of Good Neighborhood Baptist Church Reverend JinDae Yoo checks out how many people came Sunday evening to attend his special event. 


Though there were several options to choose from, many dishes featured (going clockwise) Korean ribs called galbi, a cabbage side dish called kimchi, along with rice and other side dishes.

Kelsey Hughes: Wide/Med/Tight - Rocky Horror

Wide: 

Satanic Mechanic cast members Jay Ritch, as Brad Majors, and Kelley Sullivan, as Janet Weiss, act out an early scene from Rocky Horror Picture Show Saturday night at the University of Maryland's Hoff Theater. The Satanic Mechanics are a campus group who shadow the movie twice a semester.

Medium:

Madeleine Moore strikes a pose for the camera outside the Hoff Theater where the show was being performed Saturday night. Moore is a member of the Satanic Mechanics, a group who performs The Rocky Horror Picture show every semester.

Tight:

The crowd reacts to one of the pre-show games in the Hoff Theater Saturday night. Before every Satanic Mechanics show, the group holds several games and a raffle to excite the audience and make money to help fund production of the free show.

Sigma Phi Epsilon Powderpuff Football Tournament

On Sunday March 3rd, the fraternity of Sigma Phi Epsilon held a Powderpuff Football Tournament with most of the sororities on campus. The goal of the tournament was to raise money for Autism Speaks.

Coach of the Alpha Xi Delta powderpuff football team Connor Bruso is giving a speech to his players during a coaches timeout. Bruso is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. 




In the foreground is the football that was being used during the powderpuff football tournament. In the background are the players just after the game had concluded. The final score for this particular game was 30-0.
