Sophomore journalism major Jason Dobkin is a writer and co-founder of faceforadio.com
Dobkin enjoys playing a writing about all sports, but is especially interested in basketball.
As a blogger, Dobkin writes most of his stories during basketball season, and does so from many different spots on campus.

Michael Honigstock - Artist
U-Md. student Michael Honigstock is a studio art major from Syosset, New York.
Honigstock never took a formal art class in high school, but he avidly doodled in class and decided he wanted to go to school at U-Md. for graphic design.
However, in 2013 Honigstock was not one of the 25 students selected for the graphic design program and decided to stick with studio art.
Now a senior at U-Md. Honigstock has no regrets about being a studio art major, but worries about future employment.
Honigstock, 20, does not name his pieces - but here are two of his favorites.

Amanda Lotwin - CRS Fitness Instructor

| Campus Recreation Services fitness instructor Amanda Lotwin demonstrated how to use the body bar on Oct. 21 in the group fitness studio at Eppley Recreation Center. This bar is commonly used in the "Arms & Abs" classes. |

Mia Griffin: Sorority Girl and EMT
Mia Griffin, a junior Public Health major on a P.A. track, lives a busy life. Besides having a difficult major, she is the Vice President of her sorority and a volunteer EMT.
As Vice President she is in charge of all the other officers of Tri Delta. She says that her position requires a lot of organization and dedication.
She takes that dedication with her to the fire house every Friday. As an EMT she works mainly in the back of the ambulance responding to calls from the residents of College Park and University of Maryland students.
Mia showed us the equipment hidden in the outer walls of the ambulance. She told us how many patients are put in a neck brace immediately, especially if there are injuries to the head.
Even though Mia lives a hectic life, she says it is extremely rewarding and she loves doing what she does.
