Zaching Against Cancer 5K Run/Walk

Participants get ready to run the business fraternity Phi Chi Theta’s first annual Zaching Against Cancer 5K Run/Walk Oct. 5, 2014 outside of the University of Maryland’s Student Union.

University basketball player, Jake Layman, congratulates a walker at the finish line. Layman, along with other teammates, appeared to support their former team manager, Zach Lederer, who died this year from complications with brain cancer.

Runner Nicole Centi, secretary of Phi Chi Theta, stretches after the run. Her $20 donation went toward the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation, which raised $1500 from the run.
