Homecoming match-ups, Delta Delta Delta and Kappa Alpha Order, got together to attend a Sexual Assault Seminar lead by former University of Maryland student, Mary Teller. The seminar was a mixture of shocking facts, serious discussions, and even some fun games to lighten the mood.
The laughter from a previous joke suddenly faded, and sophomore, Emma Santos' face became serious after the speaker revealed the number of sexual assaults that occur on University of Maryland's campus annually. The room was silent.
Junior, Carolina Parra, listened intently as groups shared their opinions about 'what they would do' in scenarios of friends leaving parties with member's of the opposite sex. Parra told the group she would always look out for her friends, and would want them to return the favor.
