RE-DO Univ. of Maryland Synchronized Skating prepares for Nationals

At the Herbert Wells ice rink in College Park, Md., the ice is marked with the Maryland Synchronized skating team's skate blades.

The Maryland Synchronized skating team stands together in what is called a "Pivite line," and element that is crucial for the United States Synchronized skating competition.

American University head coach Steve Jennings, a University of Maryland graduate, anxiously watches his team play the Terps Monday night. Jennings, who was an assistant coach for the 2008 olympic women's field hockey team, has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year in each of the past seven seasons.
