Maryland basketball fans file into Xfinity Center to take part in Maryland Madness on Saturday. The event aimed to get Terps fans excited about the upcoming basketball season with magic, cheers and team introductions.

Eager fans file into the arena early as doors opened at 4 p.m. These early Terps were able to grab free T-shirts and get autographs from players and coaches.

The main scoreboard reminds us what we're here for. For weeks, Maryland Athletics hinted at a "magical" Maryland Madness.

Junior Cooper Pettus and sophomores Josiah Manning and Alex Panagopoulos hold their color-changing rods as they wait for the magic show to begin.

The Maryland band hypes up the crowd with their rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" after the magic show ended.

Radio Personality Walt Williams helps introduce the men's and women's basketball teams as Terps fans wave their light up rods in the stands.

Women's basketball coach Brenda Frese, along with her two twins, speak to the crowd about the upcoming basketball season.
Sophomore guard Melo Trimble walks out to a standing ovation during player introductions. Trimble was recently named the Big Ten preseason Player of the Year.

Terps alum Mike Watson looks toward the scoreboard as player introductions take place.

The Maryland Cheerleading team gets the crowd going with one of their many complicated formations.

Even Testudo gets in on the fun as Maryland Cheer members hoist him in the air to a roaring crowd.

A young Terps fan slams down a dunk during the "mini" dunk contest after the Terrapins players were introduced.

Sophomore Kevin Dragonette gets ready for his opportunity to win free Mountain Dew for a year. He had to make a layup, free-throw and three pointer in 30 seconds, but failed.

A Gymkana member leaps through a ring of fire during Gymkana's performance at Maryland Madness.

Things wrapped up with the men's and women's basketball teams scrimmaging before the crowd of Terps fans.
