Portraits of Tennis Player Alison Piwowarski - Lauren Bork

Freshman Alison Piwowarski has her game face on for the club tennis season. She hasn’t played on a competitive team since middle school, but she says the sport has always been her true passion.

Multi-sport athlete Piwowarski focuses on the ball during practice. She picked up tennis as a sport when she was 11-years-old, after being taught by her mom, who played at the collegiate level.

Piwowarski practices singles, which she loves because it places more pressure on the individual. However, she says she also enjoys doubles because it turns tennis into a team sport.
