Black Student Union GBM on Cultural Appropriation - Danielle Gillis

Akeil Pyant, Black Student Union's (BSU) Speaker of the House, listened to a student's response to a question asked. Pyant, along with the other members of BSU's executive board, lead the discussion throughout the event.

Attendees watched a video that was played during the event. The video was a clip from a television broadcast discussing cultural appropriation in modern culture.

Students from various classes gathered in the multi-purpose room in the Nyumburu Cultural Center at the University of Maryland. They all attended the BSU event to discuss cultural appropriation and it's repercussions.
