Members of the Jimenez-Porter Writer's House congregated in the basement of Queen Anne's for the University of Maryland Slam Poetry Team's first official meeting Tuesday night. Sophomore Kosi Mkame created the team this semester to encourage involvement within the Writer's House community.

The University of Maryland hosts a Farmer's Market in front of Cole Field House every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market welcomes local farmers, bakers, and vendors to the campus to sell a wide variety of goods.
