Getting Ready Photo Essay (Mel DeCandia)

At 9:20a.m., sophomore communication and Spanish major Natasha Paulmeno's alarm clock goes off.

Paulmeno starts her day by making a cup of coffee. "I was studying for my midterm, I didn't go to bed until 5:45a.m.," she said.

Waiting on her coffee, Paulmeno heads to the bathroom to brush her teeth.

Paulmeno does a quick face rinse to wake her up before getting dressed and having breakfast.

When her coffee is finished, Paulmeno adds a little cinnamon for flavor.

With a little time to spare, Paulmeno organizes her things: she won't have time later. "I have class from 10a.m. until 5p.m.," she said.

With her backpack packed, Paulmeno is ready to go.

Outside, Paulmeno unlocks her bike.

Paulmeno leaves her apartment and starts her long day of classes.
