Mixed Monologues Photo Essay

Buttons were given out at the Mixed Monologues Open Night on March 11.  The  event, was in Stamp located at the University of Maryland.

Guests arrived early to the Mixed Monologue event. Most of the seats were full by the end of the night.

Guests wait in line for snacks before the monologue. The monologue was hosted by the Multiracial Biracial Student Association (MBSA). 

After performing, rapper Chantz shares his personal life. He is inspired by DJ Kool Herc.

Two performers share a poem. There were about seven total performers.

On each table there were candles to help set the monologue mood. Sharpies and pins were free to take.

A performer shares his poem. He talked about his life struggles with fitting in.

A performer shares his poem.  Chantz, a performer from earlier is one of his role models.
