Sarah Engles Horse Riding

Sarah Engles, a freshman at the University of Maryland, joined the Equestrian Club in order to continue her childhood passion of riding. Today she is riding a T
horoughbred, Max, who reminds her of the family horse Cosmo while she pins him to prepare for riding.

The barn is like a safe haven. A place to get away from everything else Sarah said.

However horse riding is not all fun and games. This is competition. Sarah focuses on making sure
everything on Max is perfect before riding.

To control the horse a rider must use their legs to convey the motions they want the horse to follow. Sarah struggled to control this powerful Thoroughbred.

Sarah takes riding lessons at the farm every Sunday at 2:30. This Sunday she practiced trotting.
