The Farmers Market 10/9/13 Joelle Lang

Students at the University of Maryland shop for fresh fruit and vegetables at The Farmers Market on campus on Wednesday, Oct. 9.  The Farmers Market is open every wednesday, April through Nov., to offer students the opportunity to purchase healthy, locally grown produce.

Miriam Mosbacher, sophomore, smells a Jerusalem artichoke at The Famers Market on the University of Maryland campus on Wednesday, Oct. 9.  Mosbacher visits The Farmers Market every wednesday to buy locally grown produce to cook in her apartment as a healthy alternative to eating at the diner.
