A dedicated group of University of Maryland students wait in line for seats Friday afternoon outside of Cole Field House for Maryland Madness. Maryland Madness is an annual event at the university to celebrate the opening of basketball season.

The audience sits around the basketball court at Cole Field House Friday evening while waiting for Maryland Madness to start. Many people in the audience are alumni of the school who remember attending baseball games in Cole Field House many years ago.

Maryland Men's Basketball alumni entertain the crowd by hosting a scrimmage Friday evening in Cole Field House. The alumni teams include Walt Williams, Byron Mouton and Juan Dixon to name a few. 

The University of Maryland Dance Team entertains the audience during the scrimmage break Friday evening in Cole Field House. The dance team keeps the audience upbeat with modern dance moves and music.

Gymkana begins performing tricky acrobatic moves Friday night in Cole Field House. Gymkana flips over beams and people before flipping through a flaming hoop. 

This year's men's basketball team begins their scrimmage against each other Friday night in Cole Field House. Previous Maryland basketball coaches, such as Gary Williams and Lefty McWilliams, watch as the current basketball team continues a tradition. 

Maryland Madness ends with the traditional men's basketball scrimmage Friday night in Cole Field House. Above the court a banner says, "It's like we never left".
